江浚い、戸北先生ご訪問感謝！Cleaning Ditches, Thanks Mr. Tokita Visited Yoshy.
4月21日(日)早朝、氷雨の中、当地区・上町の「江浚い(えさらい)」でした。
In the early morning of Sunday, April 21st, the spring-cleaning-ditches was held by the people of this district: Kanmachi in cold rain.
溝の蓋を外して、ゴミや石ころなどを除去。
We removed garbage, stones, etc out of the bottom of ditches; some concreted covers had to be opened.
夕方、LL Shihoya News を作っていたら、旧友の戸北先生が、教室下から、「いますか～？」
While Yoshy was making LL Shihoya News (already uplorded here) in the evening, I heard a familiar voice: “Are you there?” from underneath; it was one of my old friends, Mr. Tokita.
嬉しかったです。
I was really happy to meet him!

He has been one of my respected teachers since LL Shihoya Arai School was open. Thank you so much he was worried about “Temporally quitting M-PEC activities”…
それはそうと、この3月で、大学の学長をご退官、40余年の教員生活、お疲れ様でした。そしておめでとうございます。
By the by, I knew he had retired from President of JUEN. "Congratulations that you’ve actively, healthily and safely worked there for over forty years!"
スケールの大きな紳士との歓談は、形容しがたい元気をいただけます。
Whenever talking with such a generous-minded gentleman, Yoshy can be given some powerful guts.
