信越線運休：Suspension of Shinetsu-Line
7月20日(金)、LLレッスンを休んで、横浜の「港赤十字病院」へ親戚のお見舞いに。
Yoshy visited Minato-Red-Cross Hospital in Yokohama to see one of my relatives, closing lessons on Friday, July 20th.
脳出血ではなく、脳血栓で、ひどく心配していましたが、お話しができました。
He had not cerebral hemorrhage but cerebral thrombosis. Though I had got very worried about his condition, Yoshy could talk with him a little.

帰路、横浜から長野へ着いたのが、3:00 pmころ。
On my way back from Yokohama, it was around 3:00 pm when Yoshy reached Nagano St.
信越線が豪雨で不通との放送が流れていました。
Unexpectedly an announcement was heard from staffs’ speakers telling that Shinetsu-line was suspended by heavy rain.
ずっと待って、結局11:15 pm頃、その日中の復旧見込みなしの決定。
Yoshy couldn’t help waiting and waiting near the gate of the station, hearing the restoration in the day was given up; they decided.
駅周辺のどのホテルも満席。
All the hotels near Nagano station were filled to capacity.
駅構内で、避難民のようになりました。大勢の客と同様に、床の上で座っていました。
Yoshy became like a refugee in the station. Yoshy was sitting cross-legged on the floor filled with lots of people.
夜中の2:00 amころ、「6番線の、特急名古屋行き電車を、休息のためにお使い下さい」との放送。
We heard an announcement saying, “You can use the express train bound for Nagoya on track #6 to take a rest.”
どっと押し寄せました。
Many people rushed into the train.
不思議にも、口コミで、既にほとんど満席。
Strange to say, however, it had already had almost no vacant seats. Maybe they had known by word of mouth.
やっと、座れました。
Fortunately, Yoshy could one seat to use.
少しまどろんで、6:00am に目が覚めました。翌朝も復旧できていませんでした。
Yoshy could fall into a doze a couple of hours, waking up at 6:00 am, but when I knew its restoration wasn’t announced yet.
10:00 に、復旧したとの放送。
They announced at 10:00 am that Shinetsu Line was at last restored.
帰宅したのが2:30 pm。
After all, Yoshy arrived home at 2:30 pm on the next day, July 21st.
避難民の方々のご苦労の、ほんの一端を実感しました。
Yoshy had a chance to be able to feel hardship of many kinds of refugees in Japan now.
