山光照我心：Shining Mountains light upon my mind.
梅雨明け直前の、火打山と妙高山：Mt. Hiuchi & Myoko Just Before Ending Rainy Season
7月16日(月)、久しぶりに妙高連山が浮かび上がりました。
The range of Mt. Myoko could be clearly seen after a long time on Monday, July 16th.
新井高校時代、5人の仲間で火打山 (2,462 m) から妙高山 (2,454 m)まで縦走したことがあります。
Yoshy has climbed the length of it, from Mt. Hiuchi (2,462 m) to Mt. Myoko (2,454 m) with 4 friends in my days of Arai Senior High School.
人も町並みもすっかり変わっていますが、山並みだけは元のままです。
The look of a street of houses and the face of people has drastically changed, but the figure of mountains has still been as what it was.
無常を感じるか、発展を感じるか…？ 私も含めて人の心も、日々刻刻と変わります。
Looking at them, do you feel mutability or development? Hum… including me, our minds have been also changed daily and hourly.
「相変わらずですね。」の挨拶も誹謗になったり、賛美になったりします。
“You are fine as usual, aren’t you?” is often used as a greeting, however, that might sometimes mean either slander or praise.
変わらないものは、「古里の山」だけかも。
Something immutable is maybe only “mountains in our hometown”.
故・杉山義抽先生が私に下さったお言葉、「山光照我心」、少し分かる気がしています。
The late Mr. Yoshihide Sugiyama gave me this word, “Shining Mountains light upon my mind.” which Yoshy has been able to understand a little now.
白寿になられた、M-PEC協力員、岩下神繁先生と杉山先生が、現在の「長寿クラブ連合会」の礎を築かれました。
One of M-PEC Supporters, Mr. Shinpan Iwashita, 99 years old and Mr. Sugiyama built up the foundation of present “Long-life people’s United Association”.
