「恥慣れ：はじなれ」の言葉を発見！ T-kun found the word “Be friends with being embarrassed”!
日本人は、概して、社会人になると、「人前での失敗」を「恥」だと思いやすいですね。
Yoshy thinks most Japanese seem to be susceptible to believe them ashamed whenever they fail in front of others, don’t you agree?
必要な時に、引きこもってしまっては、外国人と対等に討論ができません。
If we don’t say any word when we have to talk with foreigners, we would be disregarded by them.
小6、中1が混在するA4クラスに言いました。「今のうちに恥をかいておきなさい。スピーチコンテスト発表は、恥をかく良いチャンスです。生涯失敗しない人なんてだれもいないから、恥は、恥じゃないんですよ。」
Yoshy said to the students of A4-class where the 6th graders of elementary school and the 1st graders of junior high school; “You’d better fail many times before it is too late. SC gives you a good chance to do. In this case, disgracing yourself in public is never your shame because there is nobody who never fails at all in his/her life.”
「『恥をたくさんかけ！』の他に、何かもっと良い言葉はないかなぁ？」と呟きました。
Do you have another better word instead of saying “Fail many times!”? – Yoshy muttered to himself.
すると、中1のT. U. 君が、「『恥慣れしなさい！』はどうですか？」と言ってくれました。
Then, T. U. who is a 1st grader of junior high school answered, “Yoshy, how about ‘Be friends with being embarrassed!’”
いい言葉です！気に入りました。T君、有難う！
