Hi-Lites of Halloween Lessons in 2012
今週は、子供たちが大好きな「ハロウィーン・レッスン」でした。
LL students were enjoying their much-loved “Halloween Lessons” this week.
毎年のことですが、クラスレベルによって、内容が異なりますので、準備に時間がかかりました。
Every year, it takes lots of time to prepare this event, because Yoshy has to make different plans to arrange for each class whose level of learning is different.
でも、欠席者がなく、全員が喜んで帰宅してくれて、ハッピー・ハロウィーンでした。
There were, however, no absentees, which means all of LL students could enjoy their lessons or part of them, going home happily; we had Happy Halloween!
一番の功績は、R手作りの「バナナケーキ、アップルケーキ、又は、クルミケーキ」でした。有難う！
The biggest credit goes to R who made “banana-cake, apple-cake or walnut-cake”. Thanks a lot!
ゲームの後は、教室の蛍光灯を消し、蝋燭を灯して、Rの「ケーキ」を食べました。
After those games, they ate “R’s cake” in the candle-light; which means Yoshy put fluorescent lights off then.
いつもは明るい場所で生活していますので、「ワー！なんも見えねー！」と喚声が！
As we’re living bright places even in the evening, they uttered, “Wow! We can’t see anything!”
数分で、目が慣れて、「あっ、見える！」と、珍しい雰囲気に感動してくれました。
But, they got accustomed to darkness in a few munities, saying “Oh dear! I can see!” All of them seemed to move such rare experience.
昔の人たちの「自然な夜の雰囲気」を味わうことができました。
They could experience “the atmosphere of natural night” where early people were living.
定番の「ハロウィーン・キャラクター・叩き」、「福笑い」、「お化けカボチャのお面づくり」、…そして、「家族で作れるようにじゅんびした・お化けのモビール」をお土産にしたクラスもありました。
They experienced various games in which there were usual “Swatting Halloween Characters”, “Making Face of Jack-‘o-Lantern”, “Making the Mask of Jack-‘o-Lantern”, etc. And some classes could carry “A set of mobile of Ghosts, which could be made by his/her family” back home.
数種の楽しいゲームをした中でのメインは、「ハロウィーン説明英文の穴埋めゲーム」と、「様々な英語辞典の魅力発見」でした。
We did several merry games、in which “Filling words in the story of Halloween” and “Discovering some attraction of using various kinds of English dictionaries”; which were today’s main games!
2~3年後に、英英辞典を駆使して、英作文の力が増えることを、実感できたと思います。
Yoshy hopes LL students of today will be able to use English-English dictionaries in a few years so that they could improve their command of writing English sentences. Most of them could understand Yoshy’s scheme this time.
