ドカ雪：Sudden Snowfall
1月9日(水)～10日(木)の二日間で2mも雪が積もってしまいました。
We at last had 2 meters snow-falling during two days, from January 9th to 10th.
ここ新井地区は、妙高高原地域より降雪量が多いと聞きました。
They say there’re more snow here, in Arai rather than Myoko-Kogen area.
屋根の消雪用スプリンクラーが大活躍です。
Sprinklers for melting snow on the roof are in full operation.
井戸水なので水道代はかかりませんが、電気代が目に上がります。
Though we don’t have to pay water bill because of using well-water, cost a lot in electricity.
志保屋書店、LLシホヤ新井教室の前後の出入り口の除雪は流雪溝を使っています。
To remove snow the both entrance of Shihoya Bookstore and LL Shihoya Arai School, we’re using snow-flowing gutter.
放射能除染で苦しんでおられる方々から比べたら、捨てられるだけ有り難いと思います。
Compared to the people who are suffering from nuclear decontamination, we should thank for being able to simply clear it up.
愛犬、エリーは足が短いので、散歩もままなりません。
As Yoshy’s pet-dog, Erie has short legs, it’s difficult for her to walk with me.
