初秋のLL庭・胡瓜の収穫に感謝：LL Garden in the beginning of autumn・Thanks for the harvest of cucumbers!
今年の胡瓜の寿命が終わりました。
The life of cucumbers this year was over.
ご覧の通り半畝ですが、たくさん収穫できました。
As you see, though they were in half of a ridge; we could harvest many ones.

片づけた後の「べと」(方言？)：地面は、野菜をスーパーでしか見たことがない子どもたちには、汚く感じるかもしれませんね。
If the kids who have seen vegetables only at a supermarket saw this earth (we call it Beto), they might feel it dirty, mightn’t they?
べとって、不思議です。幾万の動植物を育ててくれます。
Beto is just wondering. it has a tremendous power to bring up flora and fauna.

左の茄子、右のトマトは、まだ当分実り続けそうです。
Eggplants (Left) and tomatoes (Right) look likely to still produce their harvest for the time being.
赤い鬼灯(ほおずき)と孔雀草の右に井戸が見えますね。
Can you see red-ground cherries and the top frame of well, can’t you?
自慢の井戸です。水までの深さは秘密。妙高山の雪解け水です。水質と味の良さは抜群です。この地区、上町の「災害時用井戸」に指定されています。
This is our vaunted well. Yoshy can’t tell you the depth. This well-water comes from melted water from Mt. Myoko. The quality of water and its taste are very good. It is designated as “emergency well in a time of disaster”.

They are “husk tomato”, “Cotton” and “calliopsis”.
