初冠雪：First Snowcap
昨日の台風26号一過、伊豆大島の土砂崩れで被害に遭われた方々にお見舞い申し上げます。
Let me express my deep sympathy to those who were suffered from landslides on Izu-Oshima Island, though the typhoon #26 passed away on Wednesday, October 17th.
10月17日(木)、全国的に、朝晩が急に寒くなりました。
On Thursday, October 17th, in the early morning and night, it’s suddenly getting cold.
(木)朝に、妙高山 (1枚目の写真：2,454 m)と、火打山 (2枚目の写真：2,462 m) の初冠雪が見えました。
We could see the first snowcaps on both Mt. Myoko (1st picture, 2,454 m) and Mt. Hiuchi (2nd picture, 2,462 m) in the morning on Thursday.
最近の過去記録の初冠雪は、…2011.10月5日、2012.10月25日でした。
According to the latest record of mine, it was seen on October 25th, 2012 and October 5th, 2011.

The 3rd picture is Cherry tree Avenue with Erie. Another one from there was shot toward LL Shihoya Arai School; can you see LL flags?
落ち葉が見立たないのは、2，3年前から、文化ホールの職員が、一日複数回落ち葉をごみとして掃いているからです。
You can see few leaves on the road, because a few staff of Culture-hall are raking leaves more than once since some years ago.
多分、車椅子を使う人のために、車輪が絡まない様に掃除しているのでしょうね。
Maybe they are doing for those who use wheelchairs, Yoshy guess.
落ち葉焚きで、焼き芋を食べたいなぁ。数年前から野焼きの類は禁止されています。
I want to eat sweat potatoes baked in a pile of leaves. Unfortunately, any kind of open burnings except a bon-fire has been banned in an ordinance of Myoko City.
