冷え冷えした2月7日(金)：February 7th (Fri) was very chilly.

終日氷点下でした。
The temperature was under zero-point all day long.
粉雪が20㎝くらいしか積りませんでしたので、除雪が楽で嬉しかったです。
We had only 20 cm powder snow, so Yoshy was happy as I could clean it easier than usual.
今週は、クラスレベルに合わせて、紙芝居：「鬼とお百姓さん」を英語でお話ししています。
As I wrote before, I have had a special time of telling a story of picture-cards show, “Ogres and A Farmer” this week. This class love Yoshy’s pet-dog, Erie.

On a fine sunny afternoon last month, I went to the Tama River as I felt like taking a walk to enjoy the warm winter sun.
先月のある晴れた午後、私は暖かい冬の日差しを楽しむために散歩したくなって多摩川へ行きました。
I rode my bike to the river and parked it by *a flight of steps going up to the riverbank. I climbed onto the bank and *strolled along the path joining a number of other walkers, joggers, and cyclists.
そこまで自転車で行き、土手に続く階段のそばに自転車を置きました。土手に上がって、大勢の歩いている人達、ジョギングしている人達やサイクリングしている人達に交じって、小道に沿って歩きました。

The wind was a little chilly but it was nice to see the river. I stayed alongside the river for about an hour and a half. I did nothing special-- I just relaxed and basked in the sun.

It was so pleasant that I *could not help smiling to myself *all the while. I then cycled back home feeling a bit tired, but more refreshed and *invigorated.
