逆転の発想：To Think Upside Down

11月27日(水)：PBクラスの生徒の一人が、「エリーは散歩が好きです」と書きました。
On Wednesday, November 27th, one of the students of PB-class was writing that “Erie likes walking.”
「書く直前に必ず声を出しましょう！」をどのクラスも守っています。エリーは自分が呼ばれたと思って、覗き込んでいます。
Yoshy is always telling my students, “Just before writing English, be sure to say it loud!” – Everyone in all classes is doing that. Erie is *peeping over her desk wondering she was being *called up by her.

11月28日(木)のGAクラスでは、風邪引きさんが多くてYくん一人だけのレッスンでした。
In GA-class on Thursday, November 28th, there was only one boy student, Y; the others *were absent with cold.
<be absent with～：～の理由で欠席>
「足し算、引き算を英語で」、「英字新聞の中からヨッシーが発音したアルファベット探し」のゲーム中。…エリーはYくんと一緒に生徒の一人になりました。
Erie *temporally became a student with him there. The two enjoyed a few games, “Let’s say the *addition and subtraction in English!”, “Let’s search the alphabet Yoshy pronounced in the English-language newspaper!” and so on.

大人は無理ですが、ほぼ小2までは、好きな動物ならクラスメートだと思いこめます。
Though we adults couldn’t do, most of kids *up to the 2nd graders of elementary school can think of his/her favorite animal as his/her classmate.

同日、PCクラスでは、英字新聞の中の「知っている単語、句、文」を探しました。その直後に、「英単検定」のテストをしました。
On the same day, in PC-class, they tried to look for “the words, phrases and sentences they knew” in those newspapers. Just after that, they did “the English Vocabulary Skills Examination”.
単語を「読めて書ける」練習は、面倒くさいものですね。でも、「いつか、英語だらけの新聞や本が読めたらいいなあ！」と、目標を気付かせたかったのです。
It must be troublesome for us to practice “to be able to read and write English words”, don’t you think? Yoshy wanted them to notice that such a game would help them to imagine in their minds like “I hope I can read English-language newspapers or books some day!”
「逆転の発想」…M-PEC会員のY様がオーストラリア旅行で買われた「逆さま世界地図」を眺めながら、LLシホヤ新井教室、M-PEC講座の教案作りへの発想が豊かになりそうです。Y様、新聞もこの地図も、ありがとうございます。
“To think upside down” … Ms. Y, one of the members of M-PEC presented me “Upside Down World Map” she bought during her trip to Australia. Now while looking at it, Yoshy can *flash lots of idea of teaching plans into my mind. Ms. Y, thank you very much for this map as well as newspapers.

M-PEC講座再開しています！ M-PEC Monthly Lesson is Reopened!
2014年度に向けて、11月から月例講座を再開致しました！従来通り、毎月第2(土) 7:00-9:00 at LLシホヤ新井教室です。次回の講座は、12月14日(土)です。
YEA (Yoshy’s English Activity) resumed since November 9th toward the year of 2014; on the 2nd Saturday every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at LL as usual as before. The date of next lesson is December 14th (Sat).
