所変われば品変わる：Different Countries Have Different Foods
12月25日(水)、朝7時、真っ白な妙高山 (2,454 m) が暁暾(ぎょうとん)に照らされている姿に、ヨッシーとエリーは暫し見とれていました。
At 7 am, on Wednesday, December 25th, Yoshy and Erie were keeping standing for a while to enjoy watching this special scene of white Mt. Myoko (2,454 m) which was shining in the morning sun.
さて、今年は、和食文化が世界遺産に登録されたり、朝ドラでは、「ごちそうさん」が評判だったりしています。
BTW, in this 2013, the culture of Japanese Cuisine was registered as a World Heritage List and a TV serial drama: “Gochiso-san! : That was good!” is rising popularity like this early morning, and … Etc, etc.
一方、発展途上国紹介のテレビ番組を見ていると、”一汁一菜”どころか、スープだけ…、
On the other hand, while watching the scenes of eating foods overseas; there was nothing but only soup let alone “a set of one miso-soup and one dish”.
「災害」は例外として、「文化」、「政情不安」、「貧困」…色々な要因が絡んでいます。
Various cuisines all over the world could be seen, eaten or involved in “culture”, “political instability”, “poverty” … etc, etc.

多分、中国南部での風景でしょうね。かつて読んだ吉川英治先生の「三国志」に、呉の国の宮中料理の最高の一品が、「猿の生の脳味噌」…ウェー、思い出してしまった！頭蓋骨の上半分が蓋になっていて、顔が客に向いている…
I guess this scene was shot in the southern part of China. Yoshy has once read “Sangokushi: Three Kingdom Saga” written by a novelist, Yoshikawa Eiji. One of the best Imperial Dishes in the country of “Go” is “Uncooked Brain of Monkey” … Yuck! I didn’t want to remember it! The half part of its skull was a cap of the dish and its face was looking at each guest. …
カルチャーショックの原因の根源は、もしかしたら「食べ物」？
The deepest basis which would cause many kinds of Culture-shock might be “Foods”? - do you agree?
画像には「易しい英語での説明」がありますし、私はこの際翻訳したくないです。(笑)
Each picture has its own title written in so easy English that …Anyway I hate to translate them into Japanese. :-)
ちょっと分かりにくい単語として、「黄金虫：こがねむし」があります。それだけ。
Let me answer only one translation of “dunk beetle = chafers”. Excuse me, … That’s it!

M-PEC講座再開しています！ M-PEC Monthly Lesson is Reopened!
2014年度に向けて、11月から月例講座を再開致しました！従来通り、毎月第2(土) 7:00-9:00 at LLシホヤ新井教室です。次回の講座は、1月11日(土)です。
YEA (Yoshy’s English Activity) resumed since November 9th toward the year of 2014; on the 2nd Saturday every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at LL as usual as before. The date of next lesson is January11th (Sat).
