もうすぐ明けましておめでとうございます！： Happy Soon New Year!
12月30日(月)、新井駅へ長野発直江津行きの普通電車が入線中です。奥手前の丘が、船岡山、通称：「陣場」、所謂古戦場です。
A local train from Nagano to Naoetsu is just arriving at Arai St. on Monday, December 30th. The lower hill on the near side of far mountains is Funaoka-yama commonly known as Jimba, which means an old battle hill.
家族の一人を待っている間、当時の新井中、新井高のスキー授業を思い出していました。
While I was waiting for one of the members of our family, the Jimba hill reminded me of the skiing lessons in my Arai J/S High School days.
スキーを背負って、片道1時間、帰りは町の中までスキーで帰りました。
Carrying our skiing sets on our shoulders for an hour at the first half, we could ski there around half an hour; skiing down home even through main streets.

平成25年最後のブログは、丁寧に書くつもりだったのに、掃除に明け暮れてしまいました。
Though I was going to carefully write the last blog in 2013, what I did was almost cleaning all day long.
でも、忙中閑、待ちに待った「メトロノーム」が届きました。
But unexpectedly in my busy time, “a metronome” arrived at me. I had been waiting for it.
今まで30年以上、カシオの VL-Tone を使っていましたが、ガリガリ：雑音が多くなって、手放さざるを得なくなったのです。
Yoshy was using Casio’s VL-Tone for over thirty years, whose sound had had raspy noise; so I couldn’t help ordering it instead.
英語音声学習に欠かせない教具です。VL-Toneは、LL卒業生全員が、「ああ、あれか！」と覚えているはずです。
It is necessary for us English learners to use the sound of rhythm-practice. Probably as soon as LL graduates look at this picture of VL-Tone, all of them would say, “Oh, yes！ I remember!”
「等時性理論」は、新井小でも紹介させて頂きました。日本人の英語発音がとても良くなります。もちろん根気が不可欠！
I had a chance to introduce “Isochronism” to some teachers of Arai Elementary School. This method will sure help us Japanese improve our pronunciation; of course patience is needed, though.
「小学校英語活動の今後は」：20回連載上越タイムス新聞記事 (2009.4～2011.3)の第14回にございます。
エリーは、ぬくぬくと暖かいLL事務所から番犬です。
Our pet-dog, Erie was doing nothing but watching outside from warm LL Office.
夕食前に、店頭に貼りだす「初売り日ご案内＋迎春」の習字をしました。下手でも、活字よりはいいのでは…と思って、毎年恥をかいています。
Before dinner, I wrote two pieces of PR-banner: “Announcing the Date of First-selling + Hoping Coming Spring” with a brush. I know my writing with a brush is not beautiful, I bet our customers like it better than printing types. So I have written or made a fool of myself every year.

M-PEC講座再開しています！ M-PEC Monthly Lesson is Reopened!
2014年度に向けて、11月から月例講座を再開致しました！従来通り、毎月第2(土) 7:00-9:00 at LLシホヤ新井教室です。次回の講座は、1月11日(土)です。
YEA (Yoshy’s English Activity) resumed since November 9th toward the year of 2014; on the 2nd Saturday every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at LL as usual as before. The date of next lesson is January 11th (Sat)
