Nobo’s Castle”, “Origami-horses”
A thermometer at the west doorway of LL Shihoya Arai School read just 0 degree even at 8:00 am on Tuesday, January 7th.
Though it was very cold, the sky was completely deep blue.
If Yoshy had got up earlier, I could have enjoyed “walking on frozen snow-field” with Erie! I’m sorry, Erie.
Watching the cherry trees carefully, I found so many little buds whose size was a grain of rice were colored pink. I was moved by the view; saying to myself, “This is REALLY alive!”
The night before, I could have a chance to *in the middle watch a TV movie, “Nobo’s Castle”, which *made me glued to it.
<in the middle:途中から> <make one glued to~:~に釘づけにする>
The castellan of Oshi-jo, Narita Nagachika’s character is almost as same as my *self-paced character. A noh player, Nomura Mansai was casting as the lord … Needless to say, his *virtue is *as different as chalk and cheese.
<as different as chalk and cheese:チョークとチーズほどに違う:雲泥の差>
“Deku-Nobo” means “a wooden doll”.
“A youngster like you should not stand like a block of wood.”
Yoshy and my LL students made origami-horses in English in the lessons of January 7th. Yoshy tried to take a picture of a pair of horse which was planned to be *troopers, but …
They look dancing of “Dengaku-dancing: a ritual music and dancing performed in Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples”.
